Power Explorer Plug-In: Save Directory Listing.mscr

Windows Mobile's File Manager leaves a lot to be desired. For one, it doesn't show the file name extensions. You can get around that problem by using the free Power Explorer replacement. However, sometimes, you just want to see the full content of the directory or save it to a file for downloading to your computer. This Power Explorer plug-in helps you accomplish this task.

Simply download "Save Directory Listing.mscr" and place it into "\Program Files\Power Explorer\Directory Operator" on your Windows Mobile device. When you run Power Explorer in directory mode, you can select a directory and save the directory listing content.

The directory listing content is saved into the same directory that you selected, under the name of "PowerExplorerDirectoryListing.txt". The file name is intentionally long to prevent colliding with your other data files.

"Save Directory Listing.mscr" requires the free MortScript interpreter and the free Power Explorer utility to execute. So in order to use this script, you'll have to download and install MortScript and Power Explorer on your Windows Mobile device, if you haven't already done so.

"Save Directory Listing.mscr" is distributed as executable source code under the GNU General Public License. Please see the license agreement elsewhere on this site.
