This game is intresting to play it but it is little bit slow it can be made a little faster the colour combination is great and the quality of the game is also good.

It's pretty much like every other solitaire game, fun, but a little aggravating when trying to win.

The game does exactly what's promised, if you bother to read through the rules.

At first I thought the three card flip was a bug, but apparently it's just a very hard version of the game... Once you're in the game, it plays quickly, but for some reason it takes a long time for the applet to load, and for the rules to load as well.

I suggest putting a button on the initial screen, since a lot of people would sit there waiting for the blank box to do something.

This game was unwinnable. It had very poor graphics. It was a real bore.

I really like the color combo. I keep trying to hit my left mouse button to move the cards from the play area to the foundations. I liked how fast the cards turned over. I didn't however like the black spots think they should be another color. I did notice the moon on the Ace of spades and thought that was cool.

I think this game was very basic, I have played better versions but it is only solitaire so it gets the job done.

This is a very nice and simple version of Klondike Solitaire. It loads easily, the graphics are sharp and the game itself is intuitive. There is nothing fancy to the game, no double clicks place cards automatically where they need to go. It is all click and drag. But it is simple to do and nice for a quick time out of whatever else you may be doing.

More options than just 'new game' would be nice. Right click action would be nice, and usually puts the card into the upper left area, in order from Ace to King, over the appropriate suit. The colors could be more attractive - try bitmaps for the card backs and the green table.

I think the game was very basic in it's game play and it's graphics. However it was only a solitaire game it works so it is a playable game.

The insturctions were confusing, the graphics were poor, but the game was decently fun.

Dragging the cards and getting them to stay where they're put doesn't work very well. Even when I put the card right where I want it, it often springs back.

The game plays like a typical game of Solitaire seen on older computers, but does not have any of the options that most Solitaire games offer, like the ability to change the deck or color of the deck, Undo Move option, 3-card draw, or a score bar.

Game is simple to play with little complications. Cards are not flashy but game works really well. I had no problems playing the game. I enjoyedc it.

Good Solitaire game but not great. Would be nice to have features such as doubleclicking a card to send it to the 4 stacks in the upper left corner automatically instead of dragging.

Opened without issue and moving the cards was easy. Not particularly attractive -a little to simple. The space left to show overlaying cards could be reduced dramatically.

Mon, 13 Jul 2009 03:04:15 +0000

The game was badly designed visually and play wise. It had no special features (Such as double clicking to move cards) and was visually unappealing.

This isn't very creative. A better version of Solitaire comes with windows. Using java makes the game less optimized and it slows down. I would be better coded in Flash and honestly, nobody would want to play Java solitare. It comes with WINDOWS for FREE!

The game plays slightly more difficult than Windows solitaire, but is fun.

Thu, 16 Jul 2009 03:02:37 +0000

It took me a couple tries to figure out that I could only stack lower alternating suits on the temporary stacks. Plus, the deck is weird. If I remove a card from the deck, it'll place another card in the deck that wasn't there before? This actually improves the game but it's certainly not something that would happen in a real deck of cards.

A cute traditional time-waster. If you sit at the computer all day anyway, you might as well play this three card draw version of Klondike Solitaire. clear easy to read cards, but maybe tehy should have decorated the backs.

It's not bad. The graphics are nice. However, I would prefer it were a bit more automatic in regards to card movement. It's somewhat cumbersome.

The game does not work on a java enabled Mac laptop. I tried to load it three times unsuccessfully. I think you should look into this problem so that you don't isolate MacBook users.

The game was easy to play, easy to navigate the cards. My only suggestion is that it automatically ends when there are no more moves left.

Fri, 24 Jul 2009 03:06:37 +0000

The game was okay once you got use to it. I wish you were able to right click to get the cards to the top, which would make it easier at the end once you know you are going to win.

Wed, 29 Jul 2009 03:01:13 +0000

Well, I played the game. I didn't enjoy the whole game, although I found it was similar to the original Solitaire that comes free with every window operating system. I know that the only difference is that the game is now made on a Jave Platform. It was boring, though. There wasn't any sound, there weren't not gaming options available, the only languages to play were french and english, and there was not any colorful celebration at the end of the game. I won, but it made me feel like I lost.

This game is okay for what it is. It needs to have the option to double-click the cards to send them automatically to the foundation and maybe add a score/timer bar at the bottom. Also consider adding a draw one option instead of just the default draw three.

Adrienne Smith
Fri, 31 Jul 2009 03:05:27 +0000

Decent solitaire game. Follows standard rules (3 card draw from pile). Would like better if cards that can go into the ace stack area (upper right) could be double clicked to move them.

I liked the games layout, I'd add some more functions, and detail the graphics a little more, in today's world graphics are top notch and number uno on peoples list.

Sun, 02 Aug 2009 03:01:44 +0000

I didn't see any bugs. It is a very basic version of solitaire. It would be good for someone who likes to play without any bells and whistles. One issue; it was difficult to tell if you were turning over one or three cards. Also, it would be nice to double click on a card (like an Ace) and have it automatically go to the foundation.

Christina
Mon, 03 Aug 2009 02:58:52 +0000

The game is fun, but the graphics seem a little bit dark. Also, the background of the cards might be more appealing if they had some kind of design on them rather than just a solid blue.

It was a fairly decent game of solitaire. The only thing I recommend is an undo button and more options to play like Vegas style or draw three cards.

Antoine Leonard
Fri, 07 Aug 2009 03:05:24 +0000

The game doesn't make clear that you are turning 3 cards at a time. It seems like random cards are coming up, a little depth there might clarify. Other than that it plays well.

Sun, 09 Aug 2009 02:59:33 +0000

Extremely simplistic design, reminiscent of the version of solitaire you receive free with Windows though the Windows version includes various decks, options of 1 card draw or 3 card, and various styles along with counters and timers. Not a bad version of solitaire, no bugs to be found but a pretty average experience.

Meg
Wed, 12 Aug 2009 03:04:57 +0000

The game is your average solitaire game. To me there isn't a lot of things that are special about it. Solitaire is a game that can be designed to look good visually but the game plays the same every time. No new rules or features because solitaire in itself is a very simple game. I do like the design of this version though.

Fri, 14 Aug 2009 03:07:10 +0000

I liked the game and it was pretty easy to use, but I had one or two complaints about it. For one, it isn't obvious that it's Klondike style (i.e. drawing three cards at a time), but that's not a big deal. I would really like if you could double click, say, an ace to send it to one of the four suit piles. I also didn't like that the game launched automatically when I went to the website. I would like there to be a button I could click to begin the game. The site design and logo could use a little bit of work as well.

Laura
Sat, 15 Aug 2009 03:09:18 +0000

This solitaire game is very slow. No option to deal out more cards than one. All cards need to be placed manually. When you click an ace it does not move up nor does any other card that should be placed after that. I do like the background colors used in the game.

Dale
Sun, 16 Aug 2009 03:05:24 +0000

The game could be improved by having less restrictive drop areas, allowing the user to double click to move a card to the pile and card should not be able to move back out of the pile after being placed on the top.

Jesse Strangfeld
Mon, 17 Aug 2009 03:09:32 +0000

Not a bad game, but it surely wasn't better than the game that comes with Windows operating systems. I didn't see options for changing the card pattern or backup.

Tue, 18 Aug 2009 03:08:42 +0000

I liked the game but didn't find anything extraordinary about it. No offense, it is just that it's just like any other solitaire I've played, including the solitaire that comes preinstalled on most computers. The only thing I found that was different was that when there was an ace available to move to the upper position, you had to actually move it, where in other games if you click on it twice it automatically moves to that position. I enjoyed playing it, thank you.

Sat, 22 Aug 2009 02:10:28 +0000

I played it a few times and it seems to be a pretty good overall. It's lacking the vegas edition of solitaraire though. Plus the numbers at the top of a stack is harder to read. Other than that, I didn't notice any glitches and the game overall was fun.

Tue, 25 Aug 2009 02:11:38 +0000

This game is like any other solitaire game, I guess. The colors are a little harsh, like bright green and bright blue are yelling at you. The cards don't go on each other unless you put them EXACTLY in the right spot, which is annoying, and when you click the top of the deck at the end of the line, it doesn't shuffle the cards back and then make you click again, it makes you go to the beginning of the deck, which is annoying because I'm used to the cards being shuffled so I click twice out of habit and I miss out on seeing what that card was. But overall, it's solitaire.

The game was simple and easy to play. The graphics were easy to see and I like that the cards flipped automatically after you moved the prior one to a new stack. I would like to see somekind of picture on the backs of the card other than the solid black backs.

Sun, 30 Aug 2009 02:10:03 +0000

I like how the cards face down turn over when the top card is moved. Saves me a step. I is nice to be able to play it offline. It would be easier if the option button was a new game button.

Jacqueline Dailey
Mon, 31 Aug 2009 02:08:12 +0000

The game is really awesome. But I strongly feel that still it does not seem to be as straight forward as the common games of similar category(e.g. the windows solitaire) appear to be. But hey! this could be a silly personal like/dislike & you have done a great job!

Puneet Lamba
Tue, 01 Sep 2009 02:07:22 +0000

I'm not sure if this was just a sample of the game or the actual game. The features were a bit plain if it was the actual game. The size of the cards was nice. easy to read. I would prefer a double click feature for the Aces and for any cards that would go to the foundation cards. Not bad easy to play.

Cheri Jackson
Wed, 02 Sep 2009 02:08:29 +0000

The game is basically solitaire for windows in a lessened version. Play field not expandable (spacing issues). Nothing interesting audio-wise. None of the catchy items that Microsoft solitaire presents either, like hints or alternate card images. If you're just looking to play some solitaire and don't have it otherwise, a good choice though.

Nathan H
Thu, 03 Sep 2009 02:06:36 +0000

The version is bland compared to other solitaire games. Also it needs a double-click function for selecting new cards or dropping them in the pile in the upper right hand corner of the screen

Pat
Fri, 04 Sep 2009 02:06:16 +0000

Solitaire is the most generic of games. The Java format is off-putting, many people avoid that plug in, and they're certainly not going to install it for the sake of such a simple game.

Carly
Thu, 10 Sep 2009 02:11:43 +0000

This game has a lot of smooth graphics, it would really be good for someone that has an eyesight problem. However, the one card click at a time instead of the double click to move a card took a minute. A lot of people that play a game of solitaire want it to move a little quicker than that. This would be perfect for the older generations however. I am a person that play's quite a few games. This one just really didn't catch my attention. I did like the fact though that I didn't have to keep clicking the when I moved a King from an occupied space to an open space. It automatically turned the cards over which is great. Now if you could just get the double click action in there it would be awesome.

Tue, 15 Sep 2009 02:13:05 +0000

The game is good except the only problem that I had was that i was very confused about how the cards were drawn. At first i thought it was only one card being drawn because that is all i saw. If there was a way to show that three cards were being drawn instead of one it would be more understandable. Also there could be a easy mode that would help beginners. Once a beginner picked a card there could be highlighted places where that card could be played. Other than that it seemed like a good game.

Wed, 16 Sep 2009 02:12:10 +0000

Solitaire is a good game and I like that you have an option for french language. You need a ""back"" option though for those times you accidentally double-click.

Fri, 18 Sep 2009 02:08:19 +0000

It's a nice game, but its just like any other solitaire game out there. Of course, being a solitaire game, it's excellent for the person who wants to waste time, though it lacks a bit in customization. Overall, however, its just another solitaire game, and a good one at that.

Jesse Alton
Sun, 20 Sep 2009 02:09:28 +0000

This is a nifty idea. Although, the three card draw version isn't one that everyone likes to play. Perhaps the option of single card draw to play would be something to consider adding?

Tue, 22 Sep 2009 02:06:36 +0000

I really enjoyed the game, it was easy to use and fun. The only issue that I had is you have to be very precise when moving the cards, which made it only slightly more difficult than other online versions of solitare I have played. But overall, very good!

Jordan Dean
Wed, 23 Sep 2009 02:08:43 +0000

I played at least 11 times and got close to winning several times, but could never win. I think maybe a undo button or a way to change the game from one card draw to three card draw would be helpful. Also the cards were a little hard to read while stacked, I felt like I was always pulling cards off a stack just to read what they were. Maybe give them a little more hangover, so you can see more of each card when there stacked. Overall as good as any solitaire game I've played. I always liked the different variations like spider ect.

Alex Hemmer
Thu, 24 Sep 2009 02:13:45 +0000

It is pretty much the same solitaire game as most. However it would be better if you could click on a card so that it could be played on the foundation, rather than having to drag them all.

Jan Lewis
Sat, 26 Sep 2009 02:08:54 +0000

A fairly basic bare bones version of solitaire. But still enjoyable nontheless. Maybe to people who have not experienced that of such games in the genre, this might be a good starter for them. To more veterans of the online card game industry mayeb it's a bit tired. But overall good work and a nicely done game.

Rosie
Sun, 27 Sep 2009 02:04:57 +0000

I like the game alot but you need a design on the card and possibly a vegas style game. Otherwise, its just fine.

Jennie
Mon, 28 Sep 2009 02:11:02 +0000

The game feels a little archaic compared to the solitaires that are available on windows and apple programs as well as many of the other gaming networks out there. The graphics are almost non existent. This just feels like a game I would have played back in the 80's.

Samantha
Tue, 29 Sep 2009 02:03:05 +0000

Square corners on cards give an "unfinished" look.
Card "snap" zones seem too narrow.
Aces do not "double-click" into position.
Would be nice to see that there are three cards in the draw, even if we cannot see what is on them.

It works. You need to have Java installed for your browser.

Chieh Cheng
Tue, 09 Mar 2010 05:28:00 +0000

The Java loads a little slow, but I'm pretty sure that's just an issue with Java and you and your code. The game itself works fine. One card at a time is OK, but I'm sure solitaire purists would rather see the standard 3 at a time.
To sum it up, the game is solid and works fine. The Java is the only thing holding this game back. You may want to switch it over to flash instead.

Nick Miller
Wed, 10 Mar 2010 03:10:17 +0000

On the main site I suggest that it is made more clear where to click to play the online game.

For the game itself, it works quite well. I guess this is still being tested as there should also be the score. I would have also preferred if on double clicking on a card it moves automatically to the top slots instead of being dragged. Otherwise its good.

JavaSolitare did load, as promised immediately after going to the page. No problems moving the cards or playing the game. I did notice a few features JavaSolitare did not have and a few commands missing that I would normally see on a Solitare game. My notations are below:

Features:
Only one deck layout choice
No option to choose 1 card or 3

Commands:
Missing the Exit command from the Options menu
Missing the Back option from the Options menu

I'm a big fan of solitaire.....
It would be nice if when you clicked on the cards they would go in the pile at the top....for example if I have an ace at the bottom....it would be great if I didn't have to drag it to the top.

Sat, 13 Mar 2010 02:59:53 +0000

I think the color of the deck of cards (the blue) should be a little bit more muted. It's pretty harsh against the green.

I also would've enjoyed it more if double clicking a card sent it to the melds on top of the Aces. Dragging them took too much time.

Meagan
Sun, 14 Mar 2010 03:01:09 +0000

The game is BIG and easy to play however a few vitals are missing
1. No design on the back of the card or options to change it.
2. No double click feature to move the cards up.
3. No finish button when u have finished solving.
4. There is no climax to the win. Nothing fancy, just plain.

I like the design on the Ace of spades though.

Cecile Guillaume-Baynes
Mon, 15 Mar 2010 02:00:46 +0000

I won my first game.
It was fairly easy, beginer mode.
Size of cards and color were easy on the eyes.
Frustration a bit that you have to click and carry
the cards to the top verses double clicking.
That would be my only complaint.

Thank You!

Li
Tue, 16 Mar 2010 02:06:40 +0000

I played thru the game twice and lost both times :-(

Mechanically, I didn't have any issues, everything worked fine, and the cards in the pile responded rapidly when I clicked on them. One thing I didn't like was that I had to drag the cards when I wanted to put them in the stacking piles - in some other versions of this game all you have to do is click on them.

My biggest problem with it is that cosmetically it is very boring. Plain green background, perfectly rectangular cards, solid blue background, and no options even to change color let alone provide patterns. Since this tends to be a not real exciting game to begin with, it could use a little something to liven it up. But I liked that the numbers on the card were large and very readable as my eyesight is not the best.

Pretty cheezy.

Not a very good implementation of the Klondike solitaire game.

Interface does not work very well.

The solitaire included in Windows or even the one on my phone are much better.

This game is intresting to play it but it is little bit slow it can be made a little faster the colour combination is great and the quality of the game is also good.

I think the color of the deck of cards (the blue) should be a little bit more muted. It's pretty harsh against the green.

I also would've enjoyed it more if double clicking a card sent it to the melds on top of the Aces. Dragging them took too much time.

why do i not get a score? Is the game strictly win or lose and no score given at all? i also dont like that i have to pick up 3 cards and cant do one card at a time

Title: Tip for Klondike Solitaire Game
Weblog: GearHack
Excerpt: When you drag Ace's to the top row, always arrange them in the same order every time. e.g. Spades, Hearts, Clubs, and Diamonds. That way, when you finish the game, it's quick and easy to drag the right card to the right deck without looking and thinking about the suite.
