Use NightLight on Power OutageYou probably think the title is crazy. How can you use the night light when you have no power? I did that several times tonight when the power went out several times; there is a big thunderstorm down here in Southern California. But I am not talking about the normal night light that you plug into the wall. I am talking about the NightLight app for Android phones. The NightLight app launches to a white screen as to maximize the light output of the screen on your phone. This light is strong enough to brighten up a hallway. Or, in my wife's case, light up the stove while cooking in the dark. During the power outage, I had to spend some time remember where were all the flashlights. It was handy to use the NightLight app to navigate my house so that I could locate the candles and the flashlights. While NightLight is running as the foreground app, it keeps the phone from sleeping so that you won't have to keep tapping your phone to keep it alive. Be sure to get your own NightLight app on your Android phone so that you won't be stranded in the dark the next time there is a power outage.
