Minimize the Blank AVD Manager and SDK Manager Windows

Every time you start the AVD Manager or SDK Manager, it creates a blank (black background) command prompt window with the respective title. It's pretty annoying and, quite surprisingly, Google's development team hasn't eliminated it yet.

There is a way to, at least, reduce the annoyance. That is to have Windows automatically minimize the blank window on start. You just have to change the Start Menu shortcut slightly:

  1. Click on the Start button on the task bar.
  2. Navigate to "Android SDK Tools".
  3. Right click on "AVD Manager".
  4. Choose "Properties".
  5. Change "Run:" from "Normal window" to "Minimized".
  6. Click on the "OK" button.

Now repeat the process for "SDK Manager". Next time you start either the AVD Manager or the SDK Manager, you won't see the annoying black window again. They are minimized to the Windows task bar.
