What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication or, sometimes called, Rich Site Summary) is an XML-based format for distributing web content, such as the recent posted messages in the Discussion Forums. You can use RSS to read or display recent forum messages on another location of your choice. Here are some examples:

Read messages in an RSS reader, or a news aggregator.
Read messages in browsers that support active bookmarks, such as Mozilla Firefox.
Read messages on My Yahoo!
Display messages in your blog (or web log) for others to see.

How do I read messages in an RSS reader or news aggregator?

Just enter the RSS URL. You can copy the RSS URL by right clicking on th RSS button and selecting "Copy Link Location". Please check the instructions for your individual program/service.

How do I add RSS to My Yahoo?

In your My Yahoo! page:

Click on "Add Content".
Click on "Add RSS by URL"
Copy and paste the RSS URL from the RSS button into the "URL" text field.
Click on the "Add" button.
On the next page, "My Yahoo! - Add Camera Hacker Latest Threads", click on the "+ ADD" button.
Finish by clicking on the "Go to My Yahoo!" link.

How do I display messages in my blog?

First, make sure your blog supports the display of syndicated RSS content. If so, add the RSS URL in the appropriate area of your blog provider. Please check the help pages for your service, as the location varies by provider.
