Foreign Languages

Some forum messages are in foreign languages. Even if you can't read these foreign messages, doesn't mean it should stop you from gleaming information from these messages. There are a lot of free language translation services on the web that you can use.

The one I use most often is AltaVista's Babel Fish Translation. The title of this service came straight out of "Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and works wonderfully.

Although still in beta, Google Translate is another one that works.

So the next time you bump into a message thread written in a language you don't understand, don't balk, translate!
