Software: Spotlight Manager

Spotlight Manager for Snow Leopard

Spotlight Manager is a set of free utilities for Mac OS X that lets you turn Spotlight on and off. It can get rid of the Spotlight icon on the top menu bar entirely. Why do you want to turn Spotlight off?

  1. Spotlight runs in the background and use up your computer's resources.
  2. Spotlight icon takes up space on your top menu bar.
  3. Spotlight conflicts with your Mac OS X software.
