The button tool bar contains various icon buttons, which directly associates with various commonly used menu options. With these buttons displayed on your screen at all times, you can easily operate these functions with a simple click of the mouse.
From left to right, the buttons are: New, Open, Save, Open URL, Print, cut, copy, paste, delete, to Uppercase, to Lowercase, Find/Replace, Goto, and File Info. Please refer to the Menu Operations section for more details on each operation.
Note that when text are unselected, the to Uppercase and to Lowercase buttons are disabled (grayed-out).
The floating tool bar is basically the same as the button tool bar. However, it is contained in its own frame; detached from the Cyno's Editor application. With the floating tool bar, you can place the tools anywhere on your screen.
The status bar on the bottom section of Cyno's Editor displays useful information concerning your editing session. On the left side, it displays the full-path name of the file you are currently editing. On the right, the current caret position is constantly updating as you type.
The updating of the caret position is handled in a separate thread and within the lowest priority queue. Therefore, it will not effect your total system performance. You may notice that when your system is processing data intensively in the background, the cursor position will freeze. This is normal. Since the thread is a low priority thread, your system may give all the time-slices to more important processing tasks.
