In this section, we attempt to cover several subtle features of the editor. Some of these features are programmed deliberately, others we found while working on various projects using the editor.

Automatic Date/Time Logging

To match the functionality of Windows' Notepad editor, Cyno's Editor allow the logging of current date and time. Simply save the file with the word '.LOG' on the first line and column. Next time you open the text file, Cyno's Editor will automatically append the current date and time.

Using Multiple Find/Replace and Goto Dialogs

Did you know that you could open multiple copies of the Find/Replace and the Goto dialog all at once? No? Well, you can. And it'll help you get your task done faster.

After opening one dialog, simple open another one by clicking on the Edit menu and select the dialog you wish to open. If you don't see two or more dialogs, they might be overlapped. Move the top dialog to another position to see the multiple dialogs. You can place different words or numbers in each dialog to help you find the text faster.
