The Battlefield Bad Company 2 FOV setting can be changed by editing the "settings.ini" file manually. This file is located in the "My Documents\BFBC2" directory. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to that directory and open the configuration file with Notepad.

Search for "Fov=55" under the "[Graphics]" section. Change the number to the value you calculated above. Then save the file and restart Battlefield Bad Company 2.
