Download.mscr (GPL)Today, I was quite shocked to find that I can't save a web page or download a text file with Internet Explorer on Windows Mobile 6. For example, if you tried to download the MortScripts on this site, you'd saw the source code shown in Internet Explorer, but you can't save it. Do I've wrote this Download.mscr utility to help you download and save a file based on URL. To use this script, simply browse to the web page or file you'd like to download. Copy the URL that is in the address bar on top of Internet Explorer. Then execute this Download.mscr script. This script will automatically paste the URL into its entry box. You can change the URL as you wish, or just click "OK" to move forward with the download. Next, Download.mscr will ask you for the name of the file and which directory to save the file to. After clicking "OK", it will download and save the content for you. You can make Download.mscr easier to use by placing it in the "\Windows\Start Menu". When you do, you can execute it directly from the Start menu while you are in Internet Explorer. Download.mscr requires the free MortScript interpreter to execute. So in order to use this script, you'll have to download and install MortScript on your Windows Mobile device, if you haven't already done so. Download.mscr takes advantage of the dirname.mscr (GPL) subroutine script that is available on this web site. So to use Download.mscr, you'll have to download dirname.mscr, if you don't already have it. Download.mscr is distributed as executable source code under the GNU General Public License. Please see the license agreement elsewhere on this site. Chieh Cheng
