Symbolic Link for SecPanelSecPanel is a GUI front end for SSH. It lets you open shells and transfer files over SSH. SecPanel is also nice in that is distributed with pre-compiled binaries and you don't need to install it with root permission. The default package creates a set of directory tree that can't be flattened out, because the paths are hard-coded into SecPanel. Therefore, you must leave the directory tree alone. That makes it difficult to create symbolic link to the SecPanel binary executable, because you will see the following error message when you try to execute the symbolic link: Error in startup script: couldn't read file "./../lib/secpanel/gui.tcl": no such file or directory However, I've created a work-around script. The SecPanel.sh script, attached, below executes the SecPanel binary. And you can symbolic link to the SecPanel.sh script so that you can make the SecPanel call as convenient as you wish. All you have to do is place the SecPanel.sh script into the same directory as the "secpanel" binary, which is its "usr/local/bin".
