Recursive Grep (GPL)This "RecursiveGrep.sh" Bourne shell script has some nice features that is not necessarily implemented in normal "grep". You can specify directory depth on the command-line, so it doesn't traverse too deep into your sub-directories. You can also specify file masks on the command-line so that it only grep files based on your specification. That could save you tremendous amount of time in your searches. "RecursiveGrep.sh" takes advantage of the following shell scripts, which are also available on this site. So to use the this script, you will need to download those script if you don't already have them. AbsoluteName.sh "RecursiveGrep.sh" is distributed as executable source code under the GNU General Public License. Please see the license agreement elsewhere on this site.
