Random.sh (GPL)Random.sh is a UNIX shell script that helps you generate a random number between two numbers you specify; inclusive of the begin and end number. Although it is easy to acquire a random in the more recent shell environments, this script also works with older shell environment as well. In the older shell environments, the RANDOM variable doesn't exist. This script accomplishes its task by using more antique methods, such as /dev/urandom and awk. Random.sh is distributed as executable source code under the GNU General Public License. Please see the license agreement elsewhere on this site. Chieh Cheng
