InterleaveDoubleSidedBook.sh (GPL)Are you going paperless by scanning your books? If you have a sheet-fed scanner that does double-side scans, then you doing quite well. But if you have a sheet-fed scanner that only does single-side scans, then you are wondering how you are going to interleave the odd and even pages into one PDF. That's what "InterleaveDoubleSidedBook.sh" does for you automatically. "InterleaveDoubleSidedBook.sh" takes two PDF's and interleaves the two together. Because when you do single-side scans, the second scan is in reverse order, "InterleaveDoubleSidedBook.sh" will automatically reverse the order for you when it interleaves the pages. "InterleaveDoubleSidedBook.sh" prints out a time stamp at the begin of operation and another time stamp at the end of operation. Using the time stamps, you can determine how quickly your computer can interleave a book. "InterleaveDoubleSidedBook.sh" takes advantage of the following shell scripts, which are also available on this site. So to use the this script, you will need to download those script if you don't already have them. GetTempDirPath.ksh "InterleaveDoubleSidedBook.sh" requires the free pdftk (the pdf toolkit) to interleave your scans. So in order to use this script, you'll have to download and install pdftk on your computer, if you haven't already done so. "InterleaveDoubleSideBook.sh" is distributed as executable source code under the GNU General Public License. Please see the license agreement elsewhere on this site.
