ImageOrientation.sh (GPL)

ImageOrientation.sh is a command-line Bourne shell script. It helps you identify whether an image is landscape, portrait, or square.

ImageOrientation.sh takes advantage of the Resolution.sh (GPL) Bourne shell script and the Token.sh (GPL) Bourne shell script. Both of these scripts are also available on this site. So to use this script, you will need to download those scripts if you don't already have them. ImageOrientation.sh also makes use of the ImageMagick suite of utilities. Therefore, ImageMagick must be installed on your system.

ImageOrientation.sh is distributed as executable source code under the GNU General Public License. Please see the license agreement elsewhere on this site.

Usage

ImageOrientation.sh "file path"

Examples

$ ImageOrientation.sh 110672_1117712795.jpg 
Landscape
$ ImageOrientation.sh img200706191651056.jpg 
Portrait
$ ImageOrientation.sh l_d9684837695422eb51dbdddb9b0c43e8.jpg
Square
