Set (GPL)

Version 1.0

Set is a collection of shell scripts to help you manage sets of elements. The managed sets are persistent across application and process sessions. Other scripts and programs can call the Set shell scripts to help manage set elements. The following shell scripts are included in the archive:

Set_Add.sh
Set_Delete.sh
Set_Exists.sh
Set_Export.sh
Set_GetFileName.sh
Set_Has.sh
Set_Import.sh
Set_New.sh
Set_Show.sh
Set_Size.sh
Set_Union.sh
Set_Unique.sh

Type the shell script command without any argument to see usage text and documentation.

Set_Size.sh takes advantage of the Token.sh (GPL) Bourne shell script that is also available on this site. So to use Set_Size.sh, you will need to download the Token.sh script if you don't already have it.

Version 2.0

This new version of Set includes several new utilities, listed below:

Set_Difference.sh
Set_Intesect.sh
Set_Remove.sh
Set_Subtract.sh

Set_Difference.sh, Set_Intersect.sh, and Set_Subtract.sh takes advantage of the GetTempPathName.ksh (GPL) Korn shell script that is also available on this site. So to use these new utilities, you will need to download the GetTempPathName.ksh script if you don't already have it.
