Blue Screen and a Cursor on Boot After Using MagicMenu

Dear,

I have downloaded your MagicMenu "app" and used it to remove my menu bar using the "Finder MagicMenu On" script. I restarted as mentioned on the site, and all I ended up with was a blue screen and a cursor.
I got the advice to boot up holding the shift key, and performed a safe started (or whatever it's called in english (my computer runs dutch)). That's how I managed to get my computer back on and running, but it's still very slow.
I undid my action using the "Finder MagicMenu Off" script, and restarted again. This time, too, I had to boot up holding the shift key, otherwise it wouldn't work.

So, I got my menubar back, and my dock doesn't auto-hide anymore, but some items from the menubar are missing (the ones used by other apps, like Camouflage or Little Snitch).
And what's even worse is that my computer still doesn't boot normally. I still have to use the shift key.

Could you please help me solve this, and get everything back to how it was?

I have just tested "Finder MagicMenu Toggle" and "Finder MagicMenu On" applications, reboot after each time, and my own Mac OS X 10.5.8 booted up fine without the symptom that you are describing. MagicMenu only makes a slight text file change to the Finder's Info.plist (/System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/Info.plist). So it is unlikely to be the cause of your "blue screen" problem. MagicMenu basically changes the value surrounded by the "<integer>" tag shown below.

<key>LSUIPresentationMode</key>
<integer>4</integer>

You can do a "diff" between the "Info.MagicMenu" and the "Info.plist" file to see the change that MagicMenu made. As far as I can tell, changing this value will not give you the "blue screen" problem. If "Info.plist" is still intact, the the problem lies elsewhere.

It's likely you have recently upgraded your operating system version, installed an external program, or your system files has corrupted due to an unknown reason. I suggest you follow this official tech support document from Apple to fix your operating system:
