Auto-Hide MagicMenu While Keeping the Dock VisibleI have enabled the 'Finder MagicMenu On' script and it works! My only question; how to I keep the menu bar hidden but the dock always visible. I've had a hell of a time trying to pull this one off. Thanks in advance! Brad Davis Hmmm. I don't know. I have never thought of trying that. I will have to try that and then get back to you. Chieh Cheng Looks like it's very easy to do. Pull down the "Apple" menu. Select "Dock". Select "Turn Hiding Off". I'm using Mac OS X version 10.5.8. Chieh Cheng This seems to be only a temporary solution. The dock does show itself, but then I open Hulu desktop/plex/boxee and after quitting the apps the dock goes back into hiding. This occurs in a know good user and on my other machine. Thanks for taking the time to pull this little trick off. Brad Davis Here a question for me to understand the situation . . . Is "Hulu desktop", "plex", and "boxee" three different applications? I just tried what you said with the "Chess" and "Dictionary" applications and could not duplicate the problem you mentioned. Does this problem only occur with the applications you mentioned or does it do it with all of the applications on your computer? Chieh Cheng I have just duplicated the problem you identified with the "Address Book" application. So I completely removed the MagicMenu changes by turning MagicMenu off on this application. The problem still persisted. This problem is a bug in the application itself. It has nothing to do with MagicMenu. So unfortunately, there is no way to solve this problem from MagicMenu. You will have to contact the author of the applications that exhibit this problem. Chieh Cheng
