Mouse Settings (GPL)On Mac OS X, there is a huge discrepancy on the mouse pointer travel between the touchpad and the USB mouse. So I'm always changing the mouse setting. And going through the System Preferences to get there takes a lot of steps. On Windows, it's possible to make shortcuts on the desktop to frequently changed settings in the Control Panel. The Mac OS X, on the other hand, doesn't have that kind of configurability. But I have managed to do the same with AppleScript. The following AppleScript application will open up System Preferences, Keyboard & Mouse panel, and the Mouse tab. It gets you to the mouse setting with one click. You can place this application anywhere, such as the desktop. Mouse Settings is distributed as executable source code under the GNU General Public License. Please see the license agreement elsewhere on this site. Chieh Cheng
