Is Bluetooth Enabled (GPL)

"Is Bluetooth Enabled.scpt" is an AppleScript that allows you to determine whether Bluetooth is turn on (or plugged-in) on your Mac OS X computer from the command-line. You can use this script as part of your own custom script to perform different actions based on its result. "Is Bluetooth Enabled" returns the value 1 when it detect Bluetooth. Otherwise, it returns the value 0.

"Is Bluetooth Enabled.scpt" is distributed as executable source code under the GNU General Public License. Please see the license agreement elsewhere on this site.

Usage

  osascript "Is Bluetooth Enabled.scpt"

Found a bug where this script interfaces with "grep". It turns out that "grep" actually returns an error code when it doesn't find any matches. The new version below handles this error code.
