Storage Throughput (GPL)

Storage Thoughput is an utility to help you quickly determine the read/write throughput of your mass storage device. The mass storage device could be a hard drive, solid-state drive, USB flash drive, flash memory card, etc. It is extremely useful to quickly determine the I/O bottleneck of your system.

Storage Throughput is written in Java, so it will run on any Java-supported operating system. Thus, you can compare I/O throughput on different operating systems. For example, you can determine if a mass storage device is running slower on Mac OS X vs. Windows XP.

Storage Throughput takes advantage of the CI Class Package 5.6 or newer. You will have to download the package (from this web site) and install it if you don't have it already.

Storage Throughput is distributed as Freeware. Please see the "Freeware License Agreement" elsewhere on this site.
