Pause (Freeware)I have been using UNIX operating systems for quite some time now. It never daunt on me, until today that UNIX doesn't have a pause utility equivalent to the DOS command 'pause'. Pause is very handy when debugging batch script files, especially when executing a batch script file in a GUI environment. Today, I wrote a simple Pause.class utility in Java. This pause utility, when executed, simply waits until the "Enter" or "Return" key is pressed. Because it is written in Java, it works on any operating system with the Java run-time environment. Just throw it into a directory that is in your CLASSPATH and you will be able to execute it from any directory. Pause.class is distributed as Freeware. Please see the "Freeware License Agreement" elsewhere on this site. Usagejava Pause To output version and usage information: java Pause -v Attached File: Pause.class Chieh Cheng Cheers mate! Javed
