FlattenDirectory (Freeware)

"FlattenDirectory.class" is a Java command-line utility that converts a directory with sub-directories into a directory with no sub-directories. It works by copying all of the files in the sub-directory into the parent directory, then deleting all sub-directories.

The current implementation will not move a file from sub-directory to parent directory if another file with the same name already exists. The failure is also silent. This characteristic will be changed in the future.

"FlattenDirectory.class" is distributed as Freeware. Please see the "Freeware License Agreement" elsewhere on this site.

Usage

java FlattenDirectory "directory"
