Chromium OS Crippled Java?I have Chromium OS Diet installed on a memory card. I use it to boot up Chromium OS on my netbook. From its virtual terminal, I found that it comes bundled with Java 1.6 (OpenJDK) runtime environment. What a thrill to be able to run Java applications on Chromium OS. So far, Java command-line applications run just fine. But when I try to run a Java GUI app, I get the following error message: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Can't load library: /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/lib/i386/xawt/libmawt.so Looking in the directory structure, I found the "xawt" sub-directory completely missing. That puts a damper on running Java GUI applications. Did Google disable Java GUI API on purpose? Chieh Cheng
