Conserving Battery Life While Reading with Gutenberg eReaderIt's great fun to read on the go with Gutenberg eReader. But some Android phones can eat up battery life rather quickly. In fact one of the biggest consumption of battery power is the radio inside your handset. Gutenberg eReader only needs your 3G, 4G, or WiFi connection when it downloads the book. After downloading the book, you can read it without keeping the radio and the antenna on. That's a huge power saving. In fact, in our experience, without turning on the radio, your phone could last 16 to 24 hours, being constantly on. To turn all of the radios in the phone off, just put the phone in airplane (flight) mode. So the next time your phone start running out of juice and you want to continue reading with Gutenberg eReader, remember to activate airplane mode. Once you get to a power outlet, or when you really need the phone function again, deactivate the flight mode. Chieh Cheng
