Server error: could not build target. Please try again later!Today, I used the App Inventor to quickly build a mathematical function calculator for a specific need I have. After writing it, I clicked on "Download to this Computer". But instead of getting the package for the program, I got the following error message: "Server error: could not build target. Please try again later!" The error message made it sound like a server-side problem. It seemed like there was nothing I can do to resolve it. So I waited about an hour and the problem still occurred. I decided to shutdown Chrome and the Blocks Editor and restart them. After restarting them, I was able to build and retrieve an app package again. I don't know if it is a coincidence, but it seems that this problem was on the client-side and not on the server-side. Rule of thumb: if you get this error, try restarting the browser and the Blocks Editor; you may just clear up the problem yourself. Chieh Cheng I have a new insight to this problem. I believe the App Inventor developers rolled out a new update, therefore invalidating the version that I was running in my browser. So restarting the browser cleared it up. See the following announcement that was distributed today: "We've released an updated version of App Inventor. You can verify that your browser is running the latest version by looking in the lower right hand corner and if you see a string like "Build: Mon Nov 8 13:15:39 2010 (1289250939) -- 18057094" then you are using the latest version. If you don't see that string then please reload your browser page." - App Inventor for Android has been updated Chieh Cheng
