Don't Forget About "Organize All Blocks"The App Inventor Block Editor has some little known features. Three of these features are hidden in a pop-up menu that only shows up when you right-click on the empty space. This rarely used pop-up menu contains three features:
Theoretically, you can do all the development you want in the Block Editor without ever having to use any of these three features. But, today, while updating an app I written a month ago, I found that at least one of these three features is an absolute necessity to app development. And that is the "Organize all blocks" feature. After loading up the app I wanted to update in Block Editor, I found that some of the blocks are outside the work area. You can seem them in the work area thumbnail map on the top right-hand corner, but you can't get to them. For a while, I thought they were the casualty of developing in the beta release of App Inventor. Fortunately, they are developed blocks and I didn't need access to them right away. However, I stumbled upon the right-button click on empty space in the work area and was presented with this pop-up menu. Selecting "Organize all blocks" caused all the blocks to be formatted nicely within the work area. You can click "Organize all blocks" multiple times. Each time, it will re-organize your work area. It almost seems that Block Editor has a random algorithm that re-arranges your work space. Using this method repeatedly, you can have Block Editor re-organize your blocks until you are happy with it order. Chieh Cheng
