Android SDK Release 6 Causes NullPointerException on Mac OS XI just upgraded to Android SDK Release 6. But I can't get any packages from the repositories, because of the following error message: XML verification failed for https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml. I don't know what's causing this error or how to get around it. But downloading the package manually and installing them should work. Instruction for doing so is specified in this thread: Missing javax/net/ssl/SSLKeyException. Chieh Cheng Error: XML verification failed for https://dlssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml. Solution: This error occurs on Mac because, Java 6 is not installed by default on osX 10.5.6 or before and you need Java 6 to run Android AVD and SDK Manager. The easiest way to overcome this error is by installing the latest version of Java.
