Android Market Content Rating Updated Once AgainToday, while uploading my new "Who Am I" app onto Android Market, I noticed another change to the Content Rating selection. Now, it looks like Google wants to simplify the rating with three options: High Maturity, Medium Maturity, and Low Maturity. Funny thing it that it left "Everyone" on that list. However, the "Everyone" option is disabled, with the following disclosure: "This rating option has been disabled by the Android Market team." I'm not sure what to make out it. Does it mean that it will come back in the future? Does it mean that it is not applicable to the app I'm uploading, but may be applicable to some other app? (My "Where Am I" app is a brand new upload, not an update.) Is this only applicable to some developers? Not sure what Google's intent is. Following is a screen shot to the new content rating selection. Chieh Cheng Maturity of that? Nils Thorell Google provides guidelines for the ratings in this page: Seems like Google has re-enabled the "Everyone" rating. Chieh Cheng Hi, I know this is an old post but I looked into it so I thought someone might come here as well one day... The thing is, pplication which gets your location has to be low maturity and up; can't be in Everyone category. So it seems they disable this option if they see location permission in your manifest after the upload. At least this is probably my case LadTy Ah . . . thanks for the explanation, LadTy. That makes a lot of sense now. Chieh Cheng
