TakeControl 2.03I am trying to copy files to my rescue removable storage. It is my restore files in system volume information , and I still get this same "access denied" message in vista. I used take control 2.03 and I am logged on as administrator. Paul System Volume Information is a directory for operating systems. I'm not sure what you want out of it, but I don't think you will need anything in that directory. Copy everything else on your hard drive to your removeable storage. Chieh Cheng Using Windows 7 as a newbie. Thanks for this program - it is a lifesaver when accessing USB hard drives from Windows 7 or Vista! PublicAccessAllContent.bat worked well as long as I chose "Run as Administrator" (even though I am logged in as a user with Administrator privileges!) when starting the Command Prompt. A few subdirectories did not get permissions changed, but that is something I need to investigate more. I cannot get the drag and drop shortcuts to work because I do not know how to select "Run as Administrator" when I am dropping on a shortcut. If anyone has some idea of how to do this, please post! Thanks! Chuck J.
