Open Command Prompt (GPL)

"Open Command Prompt.cmd" is Windows batch program that opens a Command Prompt to any directory you specify. If you do not specify a directory, then it just opens a Command Prompt to the current directory. The real power in this script is the ability for you to drag a folder from Windows Explorer onto it to open a Command Prompt to that folder.

"Open Command Prompt.cmd" takes advantage of the following batch file. It is also available on this web site. So to use "Open Command Prompt.cmd", you'll have to download it, if you don't already have it.

"Open Command Prompt.cmd" is distributed as executable source code under the GNU General Public License. Please see the license agreement elsewhere on this site. If you make changes to this batch file, please feel free to upload it back here to share it with others.

Usage

  "Open Command Prompt.cmd"
or
"Open Command Prompt.cmd" "directory"
