Find Drive By Label (GPL)

"FindDriveByLabel.bat" is a batch file that finds the drive with the specified label. If it is able to find a drive with the label, that drive is returned. If it is unable to find a drive with the given label, it returns nothing. This batch script will return the first drive with the specified label.

"FindDriveByLabel.bat" takes advantage of the following batch files, which are also available on this site. So to use the this batch file, you will need to download the following batch files if you don't already have them.

DriveLabel.bat
SetNumberOfArguments.bat
SetVariableToOutput.bat

"FindDriveByLabel.bat" is distributed as executable source code under the GNU General Public License. Please see the license agreement elsewhere on this site.

Usage

FindDriveByLabel.bat "label"

A bug prevented the script from working when the label is surrounded by double-quotes. The attached batch script fixes the problem.

Update FindDriveByLabel.bat to handle DriveLabel.bat error messages better.
